So, a couple months ago, I had to take an early morning taxi to the train station to catch my train to the city. On the way out of the door, I was putting on my rings and realized I only had two of the three (my engagement ring and my anniversary band). Somehow, my wedding band was missing. I knew I had had it when I walked out the door, so I suspected I had dropped it on the sidewalk somewhere. Since it was 6AM and dark, it was difficult to see and I wasn't able to find it. S tried to find it later when it got light, but he was unsuccessful. We then proceeded to get about a foot of snow and ice that day.
I called the insurance company and they arranged for me to get a replacement, which I did. Fast forward a month or so. It was a sunny day and I parked our car outside the front of the house. As I started to walk up to the door, I thought I'd take a look and see if I could spot my ring. Lo and behold, a sparkly, silver band was frozen in a little block of ice right on my sidewalk. I couldn't believe my eyes. What are the odds?
So, I then had two rings! I rang the insurance company again, and they instructed me to send the duplicate ring back to them, which I finally did today.

I love a happy ending. :)
