Day 355: Cathedral damage

One of the sadder stories following the earthquake was the damage to the National Cathedral.  A number of the spires were broken, and there are cracks in the structure.  It's going to be a long time before they can raise the money to have the damage repaired.  You can see some of it in this photo I took on our way home from the park.

Day 288: Bharatanatyam

For the past eight months, I have been taking weekly bharatanatyam classes with this wonderful dancer, Swathi.  She has been a great teacher, and I am really going to miss her and our class.  I hope I can find a class to take once we move!

My favorite pair of sandals are falling apart.  I think it's time to bin them.

Day 19: Hmm...

Only a few days after my amazement at the US Postal Service, I now have to shake my head in consternation.  This is a birth announcement that was meant to go to our relatives in India.  It was sent in July...returned to us two months later.  I wonder if it actually went to India and back; it sure looks like it did.
