Day 360: Dinner party

We had a few friends over for dinner to celebrate Ganpati.

Day 336: Babysitting

Today was A's first day at the nanny, and guess who got to babysit? Me! We have friends who live a few miles away and they were in a bit of a jam and needed some help.  So two of their three children came over to hang out with me for a little while.  It was fun.

Day 335: Little guys

This is transition week for A with his new nanny and her little charge.  Here are the two babies waiting for a snack.

Day 329: Paul

Some of our friends at our party brought us macarons from Paul...so yummy.

Day 327: Pimm's

We had a small housewarming party and I made up a pitcher of Pimm's and lemonade.  Perfect drink for a hot summer day.

Day 320: Amherst

We had one of S's college friends staying with us, and there happened to be an alumni event in a suburb that we decided to attend.  It was held at a former congressman's home (mansion).  It was a nice afternoon.  Baby A was a big hit in his Amherst t-shirt.

Day 317: Dinner with friends

A friend of Shreeyash's from Oregon who lives here invited us to her place for dinner.  She made an amazing veg meal for us!  Here is the jerk tofu...so good.

Day 312: Our first house guest

Our friend Joy was in town and she stayed over to spend some time with us before she headed back home to NY.  It was great to host our first guest!

Day 306: Brunch with friends

We are really lucky to have moved to a city where we have some friends. S's college roommate, his wife, and their three children just moved into town a few weeks before we did. They had us over for brunch in their lovely home.

Day 296: Iravati

We are staying at our friends' place while we are in between here and DC.  This painting is a new addition to their house since the last time we were over.  It's their daughter Iravati.

My farewell party with the guys was a big success.

Day 292: Goodbyes have begun

We have lovely neighbors all around us here on Linden Street, and one of them was going off to visit her grandparents for a few weeks, so she came by to say goodbye to baby A.  We are going to miss our friends!

Day 288: Bharatanatyam

For the past eight months, I have been taking weekly bharatanatyam classes with this wonderful dancer, Swathi.  She has been a great teacher, and I am really going to miss her and our class.  I hope I can find a class to take once we move!

Day 279: Happy birthday, Meghan!

A's friend Meghan had her first birthday party today!  Meghan and Anand were born two days apart, so Meghan's mommy and I had to coordinate our parties.  We had a great time at her party!

Day 267: The wedding

We were lucky enough to have my parents in town to watch A so that we could attend Tariq and Piyali's wedding.  Here are the happy couple on their way back down the aisle.

Day 240: Sunny day with friends

We went up to the top of East Rock to have a little picnic with our friends.  Here's Ashwini playing with baby A.

Day 239: Happy birthday!

We attended a fun birthday party for Jacob!  He turns one year old in a couple of days.  Happy birthday, Jacob!

Day 179: Joe!

We were lucky enough to meet up with a very old friend of ours while in Arlington, VA.  Figures that a family that lives in New Haven and a guy who lives in Manhattan have to travel 6 hours to meet!
