Day 317: Dinner with friends

A friend of Shreeyash's from Oregon who lives here invited us to her place for dinner.  She made an amazing veg meal for us!  Here is the jerk tofu...so good.

Day 293: Double egg!

The weirdest thing happened this morning.  S was making A an egg for lunch, and he found a second little egg inside the first egg!  So bizarre.  I looked it up online and it sounds like it's a pretty rare occurrence.

Day 287: Silly

Today we took the bubs to Whole Foods for lunch.  Where he got the idea to eat off of his tray, I'm not sure...

Day 236: Snacks

I was desperate for something to eat, and I remembered I had these Indian snacks in my desk from our trip.  Not so good.

Day 221: Triangular bread

We decided to make soup and get some bread from our local market...they have this brand of bread that is very nice but oddly shaped.

Day 220: Product not as advertised

These claimed to be Gujarati roti.  Instead, they appear to be tortillas.

Day 203: Vaishali

We introduced baby to our favorite lunch spot in Pune: Vaishali!

Day 194: His first taste of lentils

 

Given that we eat a lot of Indian food, it makes sense that one of A's first real foods would be lentils.  We have dal with almost all of our Indian meals.  My cousin's wife made plain moong dal with a little salt, butter, and jaggery for A, and he ate it all up.  Good baby!

Day 135: Dinner out

Daddy got some good news so we went out to dinner to celebrate!

Day 126: Clementines

We bought some clementines and they're really good this time around!

Day 107: Room service

Why is it that room service food is never as good as you think it's going to be?  At least the presentation is nice.

Day 103: Yum

Ah, it's my delicious eggplant parmigiana.  This was my main course at our holiday party.  It followed bread and cheese, eggplant rollatini, stuffed mushrooms, pasta, and a salad.  Oh, and after this was cheesecake and coffee.  Great meal!

Day 101: Solids!

Baby is starting to eat solids!  We've started feeding him some oatmeal cereal, and he seems to like it!

Day 92: Lunch

We always seem to be at a loss as to where we should get lunch...here's a shot from our general default, the Chinese restaurant around the corner.

Day 82: Home cooking

S has been cooking nearly all week because I've been unwell...he's really made some wonderful things!

Day 75: Food preparation

Somehow, I was crazy enough to decide to cook a feast for 15 to celebrate S's birthday.  So there was quite a bit of preparation in advance today.

Day 67: Sad sandwich

Hmpf.  This was my big attempt at ordering room service, and they couldn't even bring my sandwich on the focaccia it was meant to be on. Instead, it's a soggy hamburger bun.  Not impressed!
