We didn't even know these lovely flowers were here until a few days ago, and now they're blooming.

Day 315: New duvet cover

I've been waiting for ages for this duvet set to go on sale at Ikea, and it finally did!

Day 314: My office

I bought my office chair today, along with a few other office things.  My home office is nearly ready!

Day 312: Our first house guest

Our friend Joy was in town and she stayed over to spend some time with us before she headed back home to NY.  It was great to host our first guest!

Day 311: Chandelier cleaning

Our dining room has a lovely chandelier that is terribly dirty, so I took it upon myself to clean it up.  I looked online on advice on how to clean a chandelier, and most of the sites said to spray it with glass cleaner and let it drip dry.  Sadly, ours was so dirty that this method didn't work.  So I have had to take each piece off individually and clean them by hand.  Here are one dirty piece and one clean one.

Day 307: Just chilling

Day 270: Roses blooming

The roses on the side of the garage have bloomed!

Day 260: Home again

Sadly, all good things must come to an end.  Here we are on the flight home.

Day 245: Happy in Chicago

Someone is very happy to be visiting Grandma and Papa!

Day 216: Mommy day care

Daddy had to take a trip out of town, so we had Mommy day care today!  We did lots of chores, played, took a nap, had breakfast and lunch, and then took a walk to Cafe Romeo for a latte and some mini cupcakes!  We had a fun day.

Day 138: Please move!

#6425 on my list of things that really annoy me: someone parked in my driveway, thus blocking any access in or out.  MOVE!

Day 74: FINALLY

It's only taken me about two years, but I've finally finished my clocks project.  The idea was to put up a clock for every time zone where we'd lived and an accompanying photo from that place.  Well, the clocks were put up about two years ago, but the photos were taking quite a long time.  I finally got the frames, printed the photos, and hung them up.  Yay!  So we have (from left to right): Portland, Chicago, New Haven, London, and India.  Now let's see how long it takes to get the times set correctly...

Day 62: Reunited

Reunited with Dad!  After our quick trip to Chicago, baby and I returned to New Haven and to Dad.

Day 60: Home with Grandma

After a long day of work and a journey, we made it to Chicago and to Grandma and Papa's house!

Day 43: Yay! Home for the holidays

Tickets to Chicago for Christmas - booked! 

Day 39: Footprints

If you look closely, you can see a little trail of footprints across the garage door.  The odd thing is that they make it seem as though an animal defied gravity!  But actually, the door had been repaired today, so we think it must have been flat on the ground at some point.

Day 30: Working from home

Mommy's first day back at work was a half day in the office and a half day at home.  Here is her binder from all the conference calls she had in the afternoon.
